  Depression, Suicide, Abusive Parents

  this is my first time posting...i've been lurking for awhile.

  i "faded away" in september and my mental health has greatly improved, although i still struggle with a somewhat-controlled eating disorder.

  i have a long history of mental health problems, from the time i was about 20. i was raised "in the truth" and my parents were very emotionally/verbally abusive.

  welcome to the board kittens!

  So many sad stories, as you can see. I too had an abusive relationship that has caused both anxiety and depression. I guess small people (kids) are so dependant on those we think we can trust that we put up with all manner of abuse.

  anyways, welcome to the board, look around and feel comfort knowing how many others (sadly) feel your pain. And thankyou so much for telling your story. I am just moved to tears.

  Shunned? You are better off....

  i have to tell you that if you are currently shunned, although it may be painful....you are actually better off imo.

  having had it both ways now, i am convinced that it was less painful than being halfway accepted (as i am now because my dad is sick).

  my conscience is clear and it feels so good but at the same time i am in more pain than when i was shunned.

  Congratulations dearheart. You sound so at peace, it must have been quite a ride!

  Hopefully you can drop a line here once in a while, to share your lovely thoughts, and help others, but I understand if you need to move on. Adios Amigo!

  God bless you sweetheart, I can relate to what you are going through, and you are right, family can be more hurtful than a perfect stranger!

  And nothing in this world is worse than being paid evil for good.

  It sounds like you are doing so many good things for your family, perhaps with patience on your part, they may come to realize true love from fluff! Keep your chin up babe, we will keep you in our prayers.

  i feel inclined to say, people have different reasons for posting on this site.

  if you are strong in your faith, or lack thereof, the posts of suspicion should be of no great concern to you.. that leaves those who are ''wondering'' or newly curious.

  If you are strong in your faith, or lack thereof, the posts of suspicion should be of no great concern to you.

  That leaves those who are ''wondering'' or newly curious. I am sure a few on this board are trying to persuade those people one way or the other, but I think that would be ineffective either way.

  If you are having doubts, this is the place to see, somewhere there will be posts to interest you, if you are an apologist, you will be quickly discovered and called out. Either way, the diversity of the board prevents lopsided conversation, so no need to get upset, or even respond to flames

  take squash, and zucchini, and onions, dip in olive oil. sprinkle on salt, pepper, and cumin. grill. Yum Yum, a good way to get kids to eat veggies too. Tastes like taco's

  i heard about this on the news earlier, i only caught the tail end of the report.

  what i dont understand is why she did it.

  why she was only charged with child endangerment and not attempted murder?

  Humor has it's place, but this one wasn't it.

  Perhaps those with such wit and (albeit sick) humor, should post their own threads. Oh, nobody reads them, that explains the thread hijacks!
